Breathtaking View of the Lion City with ♥

26 June 2011

While Singapore has no shortage of high vantage points, the ION Sky Observation Deck will give visitors a brand new perspective of the city's skyline from Orchard Road itself.  The adventure begins in high-speed elevators as visitors travel from the ION Art Gallery on the fourth floor up to the staggering two-storey observation deck on the 55th and 56th levels at at an impressive 218 metres.

The observatory tower occupies a 6,000 square foot space which offers an unrivaled 360-degree view from the highest point on Orchard Road.  The Behold telescope located on-site will enable visitors to view the surrounding landscape with its state-of-the-art technology, bringing the heritage areas to life.  Visitors can maneuver it with the touch screen to scan the city streets in real time.  The ‘Day and Night View’ mode also features pictures taken of the exact same spot at different times of the day.

Today, ah Thiang and I are catching this breathtaking view of the Lion City!  :)
