06 June 2011

Today is Bak Chang 节!  And of course, how can I not have bak chang for breakfast?  祝端午节快乐!

Friday (03 June 2011) - What a movie marathon weekend!  Movie marathon Part 1... X-Men: First Class was awesome!  The epic beginning of the X-Men saga.  Before Charles Xavier and Eric Lensherr took the names Professor X and Magneto, they were two young men discovering their powers for the first time.  Before they were archenemies, they were the closest of friends, working together, with other Mutants (some familiar, some new), to stop the greatest threat the world has ever known.  In the process, a rift between them opened, which began the eternal war between Magneto's Brotherhood and Professor X's X-Men.  Now I know why Charles Xvaier was wheelchair-bound...  James McAvoy who cast As Charles Xavier was charming and Morgan Lily who cast as young Raven Darkholme was cute too.

Not forgetting our yummylicious dinner at Bangkok Jam located Level 2, Great World was superb!  We loved their "skinny wings" so so so so so so so nice!  We had two whopping servings and definitely will come back for more!

Saturday (04 June 2011) - Movie marathon Part 2... we catch Kung Fu Panda 2 in action!  The night before Jessie confirmed that she will not join us for movie therefore I will book the tickets GV Bishan, 8.05pm instead.  The next day after my booking with GV, Jessie called say she wanted to watch too... but she scared that she will be scolded by me hence she bought her own tickets at NEX, 8.15pm.  She was so happy and proud that she managed to get the last corner seats!  We went to The Ship Restaurant for an early dinner (not too bad...) then took a train down to Bishan for Kung Fu mania then go back NEX and pick her for supper at Jalan Kayu!

Sunday (05 June 2011) - It was raining heavily on both Saturday and Sunday early mornings.  So want-to-snuggle and glued myself onto the bed.  Had a lunch date with Ana, Fahi, Ai Huey, Charleston, Sim Cik, Veny and Widjaya at Tambuah Mas at Tanglin Shopping Centre.  Widjaya was very well-behaved and was entertained by ah Thiang's iPad throughout the whole lunch.

After lunch, we headed to Privé at Keppel Bay for tea and chit-chatted and sat thru 7pm!  Luckily we did not go Tanglin Mall for tea - the basement of Tanglin Mall also had apparently flooded within three minutes after the heavy downpour in Orchard Road.  Stomach was growling with hunger by the time we got back Chinatown and I gobbled two bak chang for dinner!

ah Thiang offered to send me home after the dinner... this time I did not reject becos it's been long time since he sent me home via public transport le and the train ride back was very crowded...  I was happily playing my 'drawing' game he installed in his iPad.  ++so happy++

+++Water was seen gushing down to basement1+++
