S.E.A Aquarium!

29 April 2013

We went sight-seaing at S.E.A Aquarium on our extended leave after we came back from Bali!  (still can't get enough of being a tourist yet!)

Redeemed a pair of free entry via Starhub rewards!  We tried to avoid the weekend crowd but instead, the place was packed with school children's excursions trip!  Nevertheless, we did get few nice shots despite the crowds.... here comes the pictures!

Psssst! We overheard that there is this ocean suite that cost S$3000/night and you'll get to stay in a suite with an indoor-balcony that let you have a school-view of fishes swimming around you. That's.ALOT.of.money! Would you pay S$3000/night for such view?  Not for me, I'll spend the money to go Paris shopping!  :P

Another Weekend of BBQ Feasting!

28 April 2013

It's yet another weekend of BBQ feasting!  Had Korean BBQ on Saturday and today at the comfort of my aunt's pad (Moma & Popa out for a weekend trip to Bintang!)!  We planned to visit her and keep her company this weekend, also to help her 'set-up' her beanie bag which we bought the cover all the way from Bali.  I then requested her to whip up a nice lunch for us and she suggested BBQ and she invited her tenant to join us!  *YUM*

After the yummy BBQ lunch, we poped by to the Goh's and accompanied him to meet his ID shopping for home lightings...  Looked at sweetie pie Widyana welcomed us with open arms (haha, happened that I got that shot snapped in my iphone while I shouted to her, mei mei come, come!!)!  And with alittle coaxing, an iPad and a nice tummy (ah Thiang has all it takes!), ah Thiang has her nicely in his arms... for awhile at least!  Awwwwww~

Our Short Hiatus - SIN/DPS/SIN

27 April 2013

Back from our short hiatus to Bali!  Now showing off my 漂亮-ful pictures taken from this 漂亮-ful island in Indonesia.

We stayed in Best Western Kuta Villa, another 15mins drive from Kuta beach - S$65/night with a private plunge pool (eventhough plunge pool is about the same size as the bathtub!) and complimentary 30mins massage, there is nothing much we can complain about other than no nearby cheap massage/spa that we can hop around after dark... (we did go for a 3hr spa services that ferry you from hotel/spa/hotel)!

We did not shop nor party alot but spent all our money at those recommended nice restaurants for lunch and dinners...  I only bought a wooden giraffe (to be placed at the new home's doorway) and ah Thiang bought his beanie bags!  *finally!*  I think we still prefer Phuket than Bali (soli!).  :P

Day 1 - Arrival: We had millions in our bags - 我们就是传说中的 Mr & Mrs Millionaire! / Beautiful sunset skyline to Bali / So-called outdoor private plunge pool / My 俯身符 - Hello Kitty Insect Repellent that protected me from mossi bites!

Day 2: Visit to Uluwatu Cliff then beachfront seafood dinner at Jimbaran Bay!  I love love loved the blue blue sea and cliff views.  So so so nice!

Day 3: Lush greenery in Tegallalang followed by a magnificent panorama view of Mount Batur before a sudden dense of fog welcomed us for buffet lunch at Kintamani.  We head down to Holy Spring Temple and end the day dining at one of the reowned crispy duck restaurant in Ubud (Bebek Bengil - Dirty Duck Diner)!

Day 4: Ulun Danu Temple, a beautiful Hindu temple set on Beratan Lake located in Bedugul Bali.  We then took another (almost) 2hrs drive down to Tanah Lot to visit the famous Tanah Lot Temple!  Look at the choppy sea & it's waves by Tanah Lot!  As it will be another 2hrs drive back Kuta, therefore we did not wait to catch the sunset.  We savoured the last bit of the holiday at Kuta, Bubba Gump!  The service staff made my day by letting me bring home Bali edition cocktail glass for FREE!  *thumbsup!*

Didn't I warned that they are beautiful?  Yes right!  Some people commented they looked just like those promotional photos taken down from the internet.  HEH!  *proud*

My current mood:  I need another holiday SOON!

Gatherings, gatherings and gatherings!

15 April 2013

Last weekend with my buncha friends and we are soon off for a short haitus in Bali this weekend!  #excited!

Friday late-night lounging with the Yeo's, Lim's and Sim Cik after completion the tearing down of my booth at MTA 2013 - they served very nice and chewy rasberry cookies!

Oh, 喜事临门,the Lim's are expecting a baby boy!  *pops confetti*

Workout Saturday - badminton session with the HXDA!  2hrs of battling in the court and feeling the ache now... yes, right now!  Baby XuanXuan was shuffling between the sides to pick shuttlecocks for the team!  #toocute!

Sunday shopping with Sim Cik!  Robinson was having some cardholders promotion and we jio-ed Sim Cik for his new home shopping (beddings, fitted sheets... coffee maker).  I baby-sitted Widjaya while the guys tested on the new beds (this shouldn't sound too wrong... OOOoops!).  We got him a DeLonghi Vintage Icona Red Four Slice Toaster (model CTO4003.R) as pre-house warming gift!  #toocool!

After the long hours of shopping, we are off to meet the Yeo's, Serene and LiMin at Medz for dinner.  It was kinda a pre-arranged 'get-to-know' session for LiMin and Sim Cik but let's see how it goes...  :P

Awesome Meet-ups!

08 April 2013

Enjoying every bit of my weekend meeting awesome friends!

Catch up with my ex-Seiyu's mates (the last time we met was on my wedding day!) / Impromtu dinner date with the Goh's and Yeo's / Polaroid shot with master Widjaya - looked at the sincerity captured in this photo (some inside joke...)!

Moma's Birthday!

04 April 2013

It's crab feasting at Mellben Seafood on Moma's birthday celebration!

Felt so bad having to make Moma go queue to get a table on her birthday (reservations were full on the day prior to tonight's dinner).  Luckily Aunt was with her and while they are in the queue, I went to get cupcakes right after I knock off from work and taxi-ed down to keep them company and waited for the rest of the family to arrive.

Dinner was served quickly even though we were informed a waiting time of approx. 45mins to 1hour!  Brought our own bread for the chili crab.  We had cupcakes (in replacement of the traditional cake cutting ones) and the staff even switched off the fans for my candle!  Teehee.

祝妈妈;富如东海,寿比南山!生日快乐!

Wang Dae Bak Korean BBQ Restaurant

03 April 2013

It was a dine-out evening with ah Thiang and I had this sudden craving for some sizzling BBQ meat!  So.  We checked out the new Korean charcoal BBQ restaurant (was shifted from Amoy Street to Far East Square...) located just across a bridge from our place!!!  Yes, that near.  I liked the interoir of the restaruant - very korean-ish with a metal cylinder to suck up all the smoke (just like those Korean restaurants along Tg Pagar area!).

Authentic settings in the restaurant / Array-ful of yummy side dishes! / Special way to cook eggs on a BBQ stove! / Some Korean beer served in a pot - special drinking mugs! / Me posing for some 欠偏 look as we watsapp the picture to SimCik!  :P / Special services notice board!

I also loved their side dishes especially their bean sprouts, cuttlefish and kimchi.  SO good!  The staffs were very friendly and prompt in attending to your calls.  You can even request for hairband, febreze (to remove the BBQ smell), apron, driver (if you are drunk from drinking) and even charge your running low-battery phones - first time seeing such personalized services (OK lah, it's MINE first time)!  We will definitely come back to try out their $10 set lunch in the next days!  :)

Easter Weekend!

01 April 2013

Happy April's Fool Day!

What do most Singaporean do over their long Easter weekend?  Dining out, movie and shopping?

I kick-start mine on the Thursday night:

Catching a late night movie because don't have to wake up early the next day - watched Ip Man, The Final Fight.  I really like the wat Anthony Wong acted in the movie.  So good.  He was like a man of little words yet humor with words between words (you know what I mean...).

Trying out the new dim sum place with the family then realizing there is also nothing much you can do after tea then you go for a walk in the mall on a hot sunny day and decided to have an early dinner to avoid the weekend crowd.

Accompany the husband to get his new toy and have brunch then goof around at some car roadshow and end the day with a long evening walk home after an affordable yet OK meal at an economical Japanese restaurant nearby home (one of the many advantages living in town area... almost everywhere is walkable distance).

Brunch with the husband at The Orange Thimble!

Goofing around Volvo roadshow checking out their adult-size child safety seat! (see... we looked so cuteeeee!)

Clear up the overdues grooming session on a Sunday simply because I is too free and too busy on a weekday.  But it always feels good after a good pedicure session... now my nails can has new coat of paint!

Well.  There is so much a Singaporean can do with so little places to hoover on this little red dot island.  I wished we have more places to go - the pak tor days are over... boooooo (is have lah, ah Thiang says these new attractions will be packed with tourist and people mountain people sea... so gonna check it out much later I guessed.).

But for now, I had all the above checked off the bucket list!  I am indeed a truely Singaporean.  Can't wait for my next retreat to Bali in the next 19 days time!  Whoooopwhooop.
