At week 39!

This Sunday, our baby N will turn 9 months!  Up coming in October, we will be attending some friend's baby's 1st YO birthday parties... then next months will be his 1st YO party!  (old already... no more of ROMs, wedding lunches...)  #growinguptoofast

Baby N's milestones from week 37 to week 38:
(I've noted down quite a number of activities and discoveries within this two weeks for this entry...)

 

1. his fever came back on the 16/9 and we suspected that the third tooth, on his bottom left is budding so that might explained the outburst of the returning fever but finally he is all well again by sometime last week (imma cannot remember exactly when but that's when he didn't cough or 流屁涕... unless he started crying lah...)
2. he has since lost weight from the 10.8kg down to 10.1kg but Yesterday when I weigh him, he is gaining some fats back... weighing at 10.4kg!
3. his appetite also came back since last two Sundays - 21/9 when Moma fed him porridge he ate all and also drinking back about 180ml w/cereal mix (that explains the weight gain huh...)!
4. gave him baby tibits - yogurt melts and cereal puffs and he liked it!  After seeing no rejections in the feeds, we went back to NTUC and get more of those tibits and spent like over $40+ for baby tibits alone!  (the yogurt melts really nice lah, I also liked it a lot... he ate 1, I ate 3... hehe!)
5. he started to crawl on knees caps...
6. he started to use the support from the cot and walk sideways - within the cot (like a crab)...
7. he can say "mama" very clearly... however, he is not calling me... and "baba / papa" somewhat asking for food or attention only.  :-(
8. he is still smiling in his sleep - caught him in the act on 24/9, at week 38!  *loved*

Nathaniel's First Studio Photoshoot!

A complimentary studio photoshoot (only 1x 5R table-top) collaborated from the Babyspa package we signed up for Nathaniel when he was 12 weeks old!  This is to be due end September, so I quickerly make an appointment to have this done once and for all.  Apart on getting it done, they can be also part of the stock images I can use to design for his upcoming 1st YO party invitation.  *clever me right*  #kaisumomplanninginadvance

At first, we were so worried that he is not in top-form to have any photography sessions as he is STILL unwell.  But our worry was uncalled for - he was such a natural smiley baby in front of the camera.  Anytime we called out his name, he will smiled at us so that was a easy-peasy job for the photographer!  The whole session took less than 30mins including changing into a "sailor" suit.  :-)

We managed to choose 10 images out of duno-how-many-shots-he-took and the cost of damage is $150.  Of course, the more number of images (poses) we take, the cheaper it will become (count by per piece)... but when you looked at it as a whole, it still gonna cost a bomb considering facts that the photographer's skill and props they provided wasn't that fantastic (ah Thiang says the DSLR is lousier than he is currently owning...).  I anyhow picked 10 images de hor (actual likes are only 5-7 images from the set), but is ah Thiang who wanna round up to 10 images for that bundled pricing.  Hehehe...

The selected photos will be sent for editing and only be ready in 3 weeks' time, so here I am doing up my own collage using the screenshots I took at the selection of the photos from the monitor aka lousy resolution...

Starting week 37 NOW!

Time flies... he is already now 8months old!  I need to start planning for his 1st YO birthday party yo....!

Progression from week 33 to week 36:

1. he claps his hands when we say “拍手”... ( 奶奶 say must be bilingual so he learns "the action" in Chinese too...)
2. he struggles while we rock him to sleep during nap / bed time... (with a 10.8kg baby is really no joke!)
3. he tries to stand up using the support of the cot or anything... (almost scare die me when I caught him half body leaning outside of the cot when he trying to jail break!)
4. he sleeps by himself while left inside the cot to play by himself (that only happened thrice so far and it's during daytime, how we wished he can fall asleep by himself during bedtime...)...
5. he leans his head and placed between your neck-onto your shoulders when you hug him upright position while rocking him to sleep (he doesn't like you to rock him to sleep in the cradle position, and that's when the struggle and crying comes in)...  the feelin' is superb good.  *all smiles*
6. he caught a flu bug last week and took almost 2+ weeks to recover - seen doctor thrice, GP on 2 Sep, PD on 6 Sep then again on 13 Sep for his "forever-coughing" signs... highest fever temperature measured was 38.9 degree with running nose and cough.  This bug made him lost >100gm in weight, now measuring 10.7kg and appetite demand also went down by half (although we are still clearing the milk tin like on a weekly basis becos most of the time, we poured half the bottle down the sink cos he refuses to drink... even cereal, we have to mix into the bottle cos he refuses spoon fed!).  嗨, 小孩生病大人也辛苦啊！ I hope he will be back on track for his 180ml and cereal feed soon...

#day237 - My happy pill trying to sit / stand up!  Lazy boy, he knew somebody will give him a push and he will then lift up his leg on the sides while that somebody is pushing him.  :-P
