Of Birthday Celebrations!

It's my burfday today!  ^^ 

Feelin' a little different this year as I celebrate my burfday - with new member(s) in the family!  My sister-in-law and my son, Nathaniel!  So.  I took a long weekend off since Yesterday to spend some time with the family and my Baby N!

Yesterday ah Thiang bought some lobsters and crabs from the newly opened seafood stall from Chinatown Point and gotten MIL to steam and make lunch for me.  :)  Then after lunch, I brought Nat to my Moma's place where he took a nap before going to Jessica's house for Korean BBQ!

Today, we are having steamboat for lunch with the family... then lobsters and crabs feasting (again) with Yeos' at the Dancing Crab!  ah Thiang wanted to bring me to the latter place for my cravings but didn't manage to book the crab buffet as they were fully booked till the last day of the promotion...

This year I has two birthday cakes ehhh!  ah Thiang pre-ordered one very prweeeeety strawberry cake from Dessert.Cup (gotten very good response from my FB post leh... next time must get discount for free promotion for 'em) and a fruit cake from Flor (my aunt bought, my moma or popa paid for the cake... teehee!!)!  They were both very YUMMY!

Currently in week 24!

His milestone continues to level up from week 23...

1. tries to push a toy car forward and backward, or focusing on the movement from point A to point B (when ah Thiang moves the car)...
2. pretends... he now can reach and suck both his toes!  But when ah Thiang tries to take a snapshot of this happening, he let go of his toes and pretends only to suck his thumb.  *naughty naughty ahhh...*
3. tilts his head like acting cute, even though he is no-need-to-say-but-by-default-already very cute...  :P
4. gives a high-five.  ah Thiang trained him previously, but I only managed to practise with him and video-ed it down... so, officially this only happens last week!  *hehehe*
5. screams for attention... we 'concluded' that his picked this bad habit from Livie (who screams every now and then when we get her into something she doesn't want to it...) but most probably now it's the screaming phrase he will go through not because of the former reason...  teehee...

Last Friday, brought him for his vaccination (5-in-1, 3rd dose and Pneumococcal, 2nd dose) at Outram Polyclinic.  Poor boy kena jabbed 1 needle each on both thighs... of course cry like for goddesses-forgotten-sake but in a very short while, he regained his cheery smiles.  By evening, he was already down with slight flu and fever for a day and all well again by Saturday evening.  #mysuperbaby  Next month he will go through the same thing but only 1 injection - Hep B, 3rd dose... thank god this will be the last one until when he is 1year old...

#day167 - on our way for his vaccination... decked in blue and denim for the weekend!

#day167 - receiving consoling kisses from Daddy after the two injections!  Can't beat Baby instincts, they are superb... he knew something is going to happen to him... the next moment he senses it, he started to fuss even before we trying to position him for the injection...

#day167 - brought him along to my Gynae visit for my boobs review...

#day167 - Daddy and son bonding over iPad.  Love and cannot than (at the same time) the way he posed on the bed (you also right???)... so relaxing and 休闲, like an adult!

#day169 - decked in Uniqlo, Lisa Larson's onesie!  I beginning to love love anything with animal motifs... bought another version of the red/grey onesie two-piece set and myself few comfy 3/4 pants in this type of prints too!  Current in size 90 and need him to wear very often otherwise cannot wear already!  Have another 2 tops in this in similar prints but in size 100... well still have time, can keep and wear in the next weeks...  #everydaylikenewyearwearnewclothes

Just received new clothes - parcel from USA... Carters and Ogosh jumpsuits... all new clothes 来不急穿啊！This little one is so so so fortunate to have an unlimited wardrobe with no lacking of new clothes to wear!  Sure to have many many of them that I will be super super super unwilling to pass down to other babies...  :(  #dilemma  (unless I have another Baby lah, otherwise how to keep forever...?)

Currently in his week 23!

Continuing his milestone at week 21...

1. he can now sucks toe...!  #levelup
2. waving bye-bye at me when I leave for work... okay, that's really my PERK-me-up for that morning man (ok lah, that's also an one-time thingy cos maybe he is also waving at something else... but still!)!!!

But on the downside, I noticed he is drinking less and lesser... on last Saturday, he only drank 550ml (usual is 900ml-1litre a day, 160-180ml x 6/7feeds)!  #alltimelow  Don't know it is due to the teething or what...!?!?  He used to drink 180ml per feed but now it is so difficult to get him finish his bottle at one shot, and has to break each feeding into 2-3 session (with a break-in-between...) and sometimes even with break-in-between, he's still left with like 30-50ml...  >_<"  How to be my supper baby like that?!?!  Luckily I can start feeding him with solids in the next two weeks... hopefully by then he can gain back his appetite.  Can't wait to start, can't wait...!

ah Thiang's First Father's Day!

Happy Papa Day to ah Thiang, my popa and popa-inlaw!

Little gift I customised for ah Thiang for his first papa day's present!  #howthoughtfuliam

I think think left, think think right... crack my head and creative juice flows... YES, something very personalised that also shows Father & Son's love... for ah Thiang only... so I purposely find gifts that can print their photos onto it... be it;

1. tee-shirt (he has tones of them from uniqlo sales that are not worn yet)
2. handphone case (which might only last another 2-3 months before the arrival of iPhone 6/7/8/9 even 10)
3. mug (which also not very feasible as his ofpic area quite atas no kopishop taboo kopi in plastic bags - in form of cups)...

So.  I got him mouse pad.  He can still 'see' his son while working in the office (even though his office is just a stone throw away from home... tsk!).  SO thoughtful right?  I know.  *self pats shoulder*  ANYWAYS.  I googled and found this website that can customise and design your own gifts (uploading photos/pictures directly from your phone/computer).  How convenient.  I love the idea so I don't have to go out and find those push carts that provides these services then go back there to collect my purchase.  Delivery option is possible with a minimal fee - delivers right to his work desk!  A nice surprise for him too.

Headache part was, there were one thousand and one designs/templates to choose from and the design might be nice, but either the layout don't fit your photos you want to print or the text cannot be edited (for example, it's meant for Mother and text wrote "I love Mommy" and I cannot change to "I love Daddy", so weird right... give Daddy a pink mouse pad...).  Luckily I get smarter after birthing Nathaniel.  I did a sorting then minimised my search and time plus also did some trial and error and found this!

Private Dinning at 囍宴!

Was having dinner at home Yesterday and then the Yeos called to ask if we wanted to join them for dinner (we were halfway through...) and we asked why the last minute rush.  Apparently there was a miscommunication on the dinner arrangement between their overseas friend and their friend thought was next week was the dinner date instead of last night and when Yeos called her, she is still in HK - not even at the airport.  So, guessed we had to thank that overseas friend because we get to eat for free!  :P

Private kitchen concept is still new in Singapore.  They tried it during their last HK trip (that overseas friend brought them to the same "brand" for dinner and they liked it very much...) so now craving for more!  They served contemporary Chinese cuisine with menu specially crafted by the chef and it changes on a weekly basis.  I felt like having dinner in an art gallery - we were all surrounded by walls of art pieces around us...  Strictly no walk-ins and reservation is strongly recommended.

Private dinning with mouth-watering dishes awaits us!  That's soaked cherry tomato with organic apple cider vinegar - VERY NICE, very sweet, very juicy!

Dinner's highlight - from top left clockwise: Honey baked pork cheek with Thai style dressing, Stir fried spicy basil prawn with Korean glass noodles, Golden fish lemongrass sauce and Chef's lychee ice-cream in osmanthus flower wine & lychee jus!

Hello June!

My little man turning 5 months this week!

Marking down some of the milestones he has achieved by far...

1. Week 8 - looking at lights...
2. Week 9 - says his first words "uh... huh... oww... owl", eats his right fist...
3. Week 10 - eats his left fist, starts to have only 1 formula feeds during mid-night...
4. Week 11 - starts to grab, sits up, had his first swim & spa session...
5. Week 12 - does his first sleep though the night... (but then woke up in the middle of the night on the next days)
6. Week 14 - rolls back to font...
7. Week 15 - laughs out with sound...
8. Week 17 - laughs out with more sound, starts to sleep through the night for 3 days (from 7-9 May)...
9. Week 18 - plays peekaboo, holds his own bottle (for a while...)...
10. Week 21 - rolls over (rolls front to back then back front once he gets the hang out of it)...

#day129 - now can flip over very fast and lift up his head high high!

  

#day133 - on our way to baby Axel's 1st year old birthday and yes, Daddy with the new diaper bag gifted from Yeos!  *MCM haversack as diaper bag is the current "IN" thing*

#day140 - backside cannot lie down still, kept wanting to roll onto his tummy during massage session and fussing when he can't turn over.  Now giving us that cheeky look when he has finally rolled over onto his tummy!

#day147 - #ootd: Calvin Klein apparel from the states (changed into next outfit before he get to meet the gals cos his poo stained onto 'em...)!

#day147 - his regular swim date, a new Zealander baby named Mikeya.  He is unable to fit into his XL neck-float since last session (6th and this week 7th), so now he has to be placed into the seating-float (so waste of money again for the next two sessions as he don't get to kick and swim...)!  #mcplooklikethedad

 

#day147 - steamboat gathering at SimCik's pat.  Pictured with the girls (left: baby Renee, Sep 2013 and right: baby Elly, Nov 2013) two months apart from each other... but look at the size of my boy, he is the youngest of 'em all!

#day147 - trying out Elisa's hip seater+carrier!  Daddy thought this was good (btw, we have not started using ergo baby yet!) and bought a similar one (i-angel brand, $160) at the Motherhood fair 2014...
