It's our 10th Year Anniversary; 3rd Wedding Anniversary!

Such a March-citing month!

First, we collected keys to our new home then this year marks our 10th year being-together and and and it's our 3rd wedding anniversary!  New chapter to our 1st decade and cheers to many decades to come!

Feeling guilty for neglecting the Son for the past two evenings - busy running errands, cleaning the new house and meeting up with the IDs for night discussions... and we think he seemed to be unhappy about it and has been giving us that "blank" look.  He didn't even once greet me Mama today!  :(  So, ah Thiang suggested bringing him and join us for our dinner.

Of course, I had to cancel my current reservation as they weren't baby-friendly in the first place.  Luckily Gyu Kaku wasn't crowded and I managed to book a table of 3 + 1 baby chair!  We invited MIL along for the celebration as well - also wanna thank her for taking care of Nat for the past nights lah.  Checked the bill of $230++ but it's OK, once a while lah plus the Wayu beef was way too goooood!

After dinner, we went to Ikea to check out the furniture, styles and the possible ways I can configure the compartments of my wardrobes and kitchen cabinets... left about 930pm and took bus home because there isn't any taxi coming our way plus there was a long Q of people with loads of furniture waiting for taxis still!

Upon reaching home, I gave the little guy a wipe-down and milk and he soon fell asleep on our bed within 10mins!  Thank you for making my night a little easier, especially on this special day!  #loveyouloads

Finally some smiles and we are ready to set off for dinner!

 

Son flipping the menu and realised that there's nothing on the menu he can eat and gave that stunned look!  But he quite like the salmon bimbimbap that I fed him and kept asking for mummum...

Our New Home!

The wait is over!  Keys were collected last weekend and rectifying the defects are in progress!  We submitted the forms yesterday and since then, ah Thiang has been shuttling his trips to and fro our new home and each time he will spot new defect (tired die him ahh...) and hopefully contractors from BSC can and must have all the defects "re-paired" before end of March!

Also, while ah Thiang continue to spot new defects in the dark... I have also finished sweeping the WHOLE house!  Now they are ready for further inspections and reno works to be commenced very soon!

Target to move in by 30 May 2015!!!  Whoop whoop whoooop!

Last week 开工大吉，I itchy backside visited HDB website and saw a piece of good news!

Like FINALLY!  After a long wait of 6 years, we finally smelt the keys to our nest!!!  #whoopwhoopwhoop  Indeed starting my 羊年's good luck with this for sure...!

 

ah Thiang sent me this!  LOOK, our next appointment with HDB to collect keys is the same timing as 5 years ago when we went to HDB to sign the lease agreement!  What sorcery is that!  #1010

 

For obvious reasons, ah Thiang cannot wait for the keys collection day to come and as soon as the estate is open to public he went to our unit to do out-site-survey!  Not sure if we will be changing the metal gate - but I think I can get used to this!  #savemoney

 

 

There are feedback from FB forum that some floor's rubbish chute and metal gate-handle have turned rusty... hopefully when this weekend when we do rounds of checking for defects, it will be as little as possible so we can start our renovation soon!  #keepingfingerscrossed

Week 61 and Nat turns 14 months today!

Today is 羊年初十五，and it's 元宵咯！ Very fast, two weeks of festive feasting and lou hei-ing is almost coming to an end...  I had lost count on how many times I lou hei-ed but smelly smelly 最少都有 6 times.  HUART aaaaaah!

Milestones from week 57 to week 61...

1. he can stand and clap without support for 5secs...
2. he can say "yum-mi means yummy", "no-mor means no more", down, ding dong, dog, "nor means nooooo", "pwease means please", "bao bao means hug"...
3. he tries eating durian and had 3 tries before his taste buds disapproves of the taste...
4. he starts to sleep on stomach; on his knee caps and body facing downwards position, 屁股敲高高 towards the sky...
5. he first tasted strawberry gelato at the newly opened gelato shop at Chinatown Point - 11/2/2015...
6. he started walking his first 2-steps without support - 14/2/2015...
7. he started walking 5-steps without support - 1/3/2015...
8. he had slight fever and running nose on 23/2/2015... we suspect this is due to this 9th teeth sprouting out on the bottom 3rd right side of his gum... his running nose then lasted about a week...
9. he will bring down the pillow and pretending to sleep when he hears us say "go orh orh koon"...
10. he pats Nainai on the chest like comforting her when he heard the shuttle rolls down - 3/3/2015...
11. he wakes up in the middle of the night between 3am-5am for night feeds from 1-4/3/2015...
12. he weighs approx. 12kg, at 95th percentile...

 

#day393 - The Father and Son duo moment!  Brought him to SK swimming complex and took more than 30mins to warm up and get into the water... then another 10-15mins to get out of the water!

开工大吉！

Today is 羊年初五 and office is currently in the 冷清清-mode, so here doing a quick update on our last weekend's CNY celebration before Imma off to lunch!  :P

This year, 羊年 is extra special - because it's Nat's first Lunar New Year that he is enjoying with us... this time last year he was only a month-old baby and now that he is able to interact more, this makes it more fun and enjoyable during our visitations.  We will have another round of friends' visitations coming weekend too!  Whoot!

My Valentine's Day 2015!

My Valentine's day celebration!

Our plan was to deposit Nat at my mom's and have lou hei dinner with the Yeos before the missus goes for her Korea holiday on 初一!  But ah Thiang wants Nat to join us and have his first lou hei with us.  So.  We changed to lunch instead - had lou hei at Peach Garden together with MIL then after lunch while the Yeos runs errand, we settle Nat down at my mom's then meet them again for dinner at Saver Art!

My Valentines!  The rose was gifted by the kopishop where we had our breakfast earlier - not by ah Thiang...  I also don't know why the kopishop gave us rose... they 'selective' one okay... maybe the son was cute...  Really.  Lol!

 

 

Lego rose from my Valentine!  ah Thiang was randomly window-shopping, came across Lego shop and got me this!  Thank you!

Our Valentine's four-course menu - S$79++/pax!  I think we were the only table seated 4 pax, everywhere was like 'a pair' but we are "two pairs"...  :))  Overall, we quite enjoyed all the courses except for the pigeon which is not so liking to our taste...  Since we finished our dinner as early as 7pm, we can has coffee!  Round 2 - chillax-ed around Tiong Bahru area, had our cakes and coffee then a bowl of porridge for sharing before calling it a day!  After the wholesome day of feasting, we were back home early and I continued my spring-cleaning while ah Thiang catch up his games with his PS3!

 

If only every weekend is this relac-ing...  (don't judge, I'mma not complaining... just missing out some 'we-time' with friends, hanging out to feast like no tomorrow while the baby being taken care of!)  :P

 

 

Safari Zoo Run 2015!

Last Sunday we completed our very first family run!  #cheatone

Actually, not run lah... we participated the non-competitive category; stroller walk - consist of 2 adults and a toddler below the age of 3!  So basically the run was flag off together with all the parents with baby prams and baby carriers at the starting point!

ah Thiang paid $100 for a 2.8KM walk that includes admissions to the Zoo and River Safari!  It's a pity that we are not allow to take the river cruise partly due to Nat's height is not within the guideline.  Nevertheless, we managed to catch Kai Kai and Jia Jia, walked a few rounds at the Zoo and get to see the White Tiger at least thrice!  #valueformoney  ah Thiang super loved the park though, he was repeatedly saying "... wah, it's all sheltered leh!"...  We will be back!

Week 56!

Been very busy!  Not just with work but now into personal grooming... just gotten my eyelash extension done so that I can has extra 5-10mins of sleep!  Now I can skip the usual drawing of eye liner and apply mascara - that's kinda shorten my makeup session each time I leave the house (ah Thiang kept complaining I took an hour+++ to get ready... have meh??).  Well, sometimes it just gets a bit difficult to get time-off to groom myself...  *sigh*

Anyway, I have been constantly updating baby N's milestones by milestones from time to time separately on my iPhone so I can still craft a complete post by the end of the day!

We brought baby N for his one-year old vaccination on Week 53 and it turns out OK - meaning, he didn't get after effects like fever, cough, cold etc... (touchwood x1203897285762384129481) or was it because Nainai made the 洋渗水 the day before, and plus I gave him a teaspoon of Panadol before we leave the house... so the after effects were suppressed?  This combination so powder-ful ahhh... must share with fellow mommies!

Milestones from week 52 to week 56...

1. he bites Daddy until he's left with a 'love-bite' mark on his wrist - 4/1/2015... and my turn got bit on 27/1/2015 when I trying to rock him to sleep...
2. he can stand on his own and free-fall after 1sec on our bed...
3. he recognized who is Mama and Nainai and will call out in a very 'teh' tone...
4. he will look up to our wedding photo and points to the photo when I asked "where's mama?"...
5. he recognized banana and will say 'nar nar nar' and points to the banana whenever we ask "where is the banana?"...
6. his second 3-syllables word is banana, so loud so clear...
7. he starts to occasionally co-sleep with Nainai since week 53...
8. he doesn't like to lie down and have his pampers changed (now I has to use my iPhone to keep him distracted)... so worry my screen will crack at the rate he uses his strength to press...
9. he knows want/don't want, like/no like... when feed him food, ask nice or not, he nods his head... if he doesn't like something he will shook his head... he hears music, he will shake along...
10. he shook his head when I asked him to share something with me...
11. he says 'pern' when it means "open"... and can say "o-pern" already...
12. he gave flying kisses when bidding goodbye, then say "bai"...
13. he called out Mommy instead of Mama - 21/1/2015...
14. he will use his palm and cover his ear when he hear us calling out "hello hello..." - we pretending to call him on his phone...
15. he has now 8 teeth - another small white tooth emerging out from his top left 3rd tooth...
16. he has phobia of sleeping... so when we try to position him in cradle position, or say "sleep/nap" he will struggle for his life and push himself off from that terrifying position...
17. he's waking up crying around 12+am or middle of the night and I couldn't figure out why...

#day372 - Daddy decided to top up his play yard with 500 more balls...  Immersed himself in his very own ball pool!

 

 

#day382 - Can't get enough of his pretty darn curly hair!

 

 

#day383 - Can't remember what commotion is about... he was seated with us on his new stokke chair while we had our dinner.  Then he was feeling bored and all he did was a bit of pulling here and there.  I scolded him and he started to fuss about.  So in order to take picture of his existing 8 teeth, I let him cry longer but only able to capture only the bottom 4 teeth!  :(  #badmama

 

 

#day385 - My little man now has 8 teeny-weeny teeth!

 

 

#day385 - The son is very much excited about his first caricature portrait!  We saw this artist outside NTUC sketching other people, so we also KPO-ed and Q for our turn!  It's a collaboration between NTUC and the artist.  #likefatherlikeson
