Of The Hossan Leong Show and Baby Bashes!

09 September 2012

Hola!  Another weekend filled with fun, laughter and baby bashes!

Our favorite stand-up comedy; The Hossan Leong Show!  This year's performance wasn't as good as show 3 (last year), probably due to 'flying solo' - lacking of the funny Porn-sak/Teo Chiew Mui and hence there wasn't much to anticipate except for the pole-dancing segment and boy, Hossan looks really petite (from my circle 1 - row CC's view) and fit in his trunky while he demo his pole-dancing.  We laughed our hearts out during the 1.5hr show!

Baking session with Mama-inlaw on Saturday!  SIL came over to learn to bake my Mama-inlaw's speciality - fruit cake!  I've got her secret recipe lo... by just taking photos and photos and photos which will marked the 'journey' of baking cake.  *donncha know Imma so clever right?*  Ok lah, must really hands-on then can learn the real thing, last weekend was a just 'preview' for me...

It was then attending the two babies' (baby Yu Xuan and baby Harris) 1st year old birthday celebrations - one at the end-north of Singapore and other one is at the end-east of Singapore on the same day!  Simply can't take my eyes off the 3D birthday cakes that were displayed at the party.  They were so so so gorgeously beautiful.  They cost a BOMB too.  Heard from the mommies that each would probably cost S$230-S$320 to make one and must self-collect somemore!

Baby Yu Xuan's theme was a animal safari theme and Baby Harris was a Thomas & Friends' theme - as you can see from the photos....  Mommy Ana went all out to customize Baby Harris' kit-kat in Thomas & Friends' wrapper too!

Nowadays birthday parties are so competitive...  you have all sort of themes to plan, decorating the venue and prepare goodies bags for the lil' kids attending the party!  I have even come across one chalet that was decorated in Disney princess theme filled with party packs, backdrops for photo-taking and props that were imported all the way from Disneyland!  (... and not to mention, they even have pop corn and candy floss cart outside the chalet, also managed by an event company!)  *head spinning liao... next time my children's turn how?*
