Week 81, at 18 months old!  (... oh my 天, how time flies!)

We have moved (Dawson chalet?)!  Currently shuffling between both places until ah Thiang has officially finished with his stuffs (... he's still in his "slowly slowly" mode).  My baby still waking up at least 2 times/night and I felt like a zombie when my alarm rings at 6.20am (in order to prepare myself ready for work before the real human-alarm rings! hahaha)... hope I can get used to this, else Dawson really will become a weekend chalet.

Milestones from week 74 to week 80...

1. he can say lei-ning (raining), no (in a very distinct tone), pore (Singapore), 舅舅, beat, press, bush (push), 伯母, nice, soup (favourite soup is cream of Broccoli), two-molo (tomorrow), bite, bird, milk, nite nite (goodnight), mo-ning (morning), moon, starz...
2. he started with 1/2 multi-vits pills - 5/6/2015 but he didn't like it and only eats occasionally...
3. he will turn to you and say his name "Nat", when you asked what's his name - 7/6/2015...
4. he will raise his hands for you to tickle him if you asked him - 10/6/2015...
5. he knows how to open his Mag-cup water bottle - 14/6/2015...
6. he starts to drink 210ml with 2 scoops cereal for 1st and last feed - week 76...
7. he acknowledges and greets back, nodding his head and hum along with a smile when I say "Good morning" to him - 3/7/2015...
8. he replied mo-ning when greeting by me in the morning - 7/7/2015...
9. his hair was trimed by 奶奶 - week 78...
10. he starts to use Elmo straw water bottle - week 79...
11. he associates my iPhone with 公公&婆婆 because we use that to FaceTime with them - week 79...
12. he went for 18-months injections (x1 on right arm, x1 on right thigh) and when he woke up from nap, he highlighted to us that he's having pain on his right leg and beat the floor thinking that the floor causing him to fall because of the pain - 11/7/2015...
13. he chooses which shoes to wear when he goes for his walks, current fave shoe is Elmo - 12/7/2015...
14. he points "1" when he saw 111 bus - week 80...
15. ah Thiang told me his son likes broccoli and anything broccoli - 14/7/2015...
16. he presses his 叽叽 to inform us either he poo or needs to change diapers - 15/7/2015...
17. he has now 16 teeth...
18. he weighs 13.2kg as at last check-up on 11/7/2015...
19. his foot measures 14-14.5cm...

2015 Birthday Celebrations at New Home!

Belated birthday post! (... busy with the shifting of new house mah!)

Yes - a little eat-gather-together dinner with the family at the new house after our first night of moved in.  Very messy still, but we still can make space for some photos... pardon the mess in the TV console area.  :P

My prettiest-set birthday cake from ah Thiang!  Months before my birthday, I already hinted to him I wanted something like this - below simple simple cake with many "rose" cream (butter cream specifically) but he told me no... but on Saturday after moved in he say he went to pack lunch and came back with this!  ah Thiang very lovely right?  (... sometimes only lah, but hor, the cake wasn't butter cream but fresh cream... no fish, shrimp also OK).  I LOVE!!!

... and and and, he remembered me once said I would love to own a new set of piano in the new home and he got me a digital piano from Yamaha - quite high end ok, can sound like playing a grand piano wor (self-reminder to practise practise and practise!) and delivered right after the renovation completed! Nah nah nah, responsibility level up liao, now imma responsible to teach my son piano to enhance his talents / skills... so the father pay for the piano, the mother play for the son... sounds fun?  LOL!

Then the lovely Yeos brought this helium balloon and delivered on the night after we moved in!  YEAH, to many many years of fabulous ahead!  Huart ahhhh....

Very blessed to spend another year of birthday celebrations with the family!  *sends flying kisses*

Week 74, at 17 months old!

Hasn't got the time to sit down and blog properly so on and off update abit here and there, only now has time to publish!  Busy running errands for the house, back from business trip last week...  #findingexcuses but that's not the highlight...  Highlight is, ah Thiang buying mi a piano!  Digital version de lah, but hey also not cheap hor...  YAY!  I thank his 好意 but first and foremost, finish the house stuffs then have more time then we lucy lucy...  *wink wink*

Milestones from week 68 to week 73...

1. he can say knock, shoe, egg, 鸡蛋，wet wet, por por (婆婆）, tok kong （公公）, dark, walk, close, drop, pick up, thank kew, 谢谢, 坐, press, where, 坐-gong (going to work)...
2. he can say "bye bye" instead of "bai"...
3. he will say "pad pad, ...pease!" when requesting for an iPad - 20/4/2015...
4. I caught my baby boy smiling in his sleep on both mornings of 21/4/2015 & 26/4/2015...
5. he will pretend to walk and slide on stomach backwards - 24/4/2015...
6. he's training to be our little helper by use cloth and pretend to wipe floor or in his cot - 25/4/2015...
7. he likes to play with cousin Livie, knowing that she's coming over, he kept walking to the door and repeating 'jie jie' and refuses to nap... he chases her from behind and hug her - 2/5/2015...
8. he can show you where is ear, eyes, mouth and nose - 5/5/2015...
9. he will pat pat his head when you tell him headache...
10. he likes to hide his toys/stuff under the cupboard, table and play mat...
11. he shows you (by patting his face/head) where he was knocked, and pat pat the area...
12. he has been easily cranky, suspected that the 13th & 14th tooth budding - 13/5/2015
13. he says 坐-gong when we bid him goodbye for work and he offers to close the door for you...
14. I has upsized his shoe size to crocs 4/5 to 7 - 31/5/2015
15. still maintaining weight at 12.8kg - 31/5/2015

#day473 - My poor boy got bitten by some bugs... swollen until don't know what!  *so heart pain*  Didn't see PD but using the steroid cream from last visit and it worked!

#day477 - One of our Sundays!  Too many expressions!

#day487 - Maintaining his cute chubby cheeks at 16+months!  He looked so round here, like a little monk!

#day489 - Just me and Nat holding hands... (on the way to library to check out the cute chicks... oops, books I meant!)

#day491 - 小小姑娘今早起床 出门前忘了梳头发。他的名叫 Natalie!  Doesn't he resembles the shi san yi from wong fei hong movie?

#day491 - Snapping some photos to submit his application to be a lifeguard (in the baby pool)!  *wearing size 2!*

#day497 - A glimpse of his happiness!  Another milestone achieved - sliding down on his own!

#day497 - Us, in a UFO!  That's his Grandma secretly hiding behind to ambush him!  LOL...

#day498 - Little lifeguard audition in progress!  Instructor demonstrating how to save a chubby floating baby in the waters...

#day498 - "I believe I can fly..." (singing...)

#day505 - Knows how to act dainty and cover up his big mouth when LOL!  #verydramatic

Dawson - Home Renovations Part 2

Updating the progress of constructing our humble adobe for the last 6 weeks!

• Painting works for the house - touch-ups required after the window drillings...
• Wardrobe installed for the bedrooms...
• Hollywood style mirror vanity top for MBR...
• Carpentry for the kitchen, kitchen sliding door, TV console and shoe cabinet are done...
• Brick wall - completed with very very minor touch-ups to do...
• Lamination for the storeroom door done...
• Lightings are installed!
• Installation of invisible window grills...

Pending to-dos;

• Installation of roller blinds, windows at the service yard...
• Cleaning all windows and carpentry...
• Delivering of sofa, bed frame, dining table, study table, mirror with frame for 财位...
• Coordinate with the movers for quotation and moving details...
• Packing, packing and packing...!

Currently trying to resolve the power tripping issues (switches on tripped, no on also tripped)... but hey, ALMOST... almost ... and we are almost near to the moving-in date!  :)  Here are some photos taken over the past weekends on the progression...

Now week 68!  My boy is growing up fast and furious!

Milestones from week 62 to week 67...

1. he starts to confuse-calling me as Papa, and ah Thiang as Mama and occasionally calling Nainai as Yehyeh and so-fro (don't know he does it on purpose anot)...
2. he can say more words like "ka" - car, fan, light (灯), book, 美美, 猫, scare, dirty, Yehyeh, pain, shoe...
3. he fell down from my parent's bed during one of the afternoon naps and bit his lower left lip - 7/3/2015...
4. he felt depressed, gave us that 放空的 look - 11&12/3/2015... (as we are currently busy with new house stuffs, almost neglected him for a straight couple of nights to meet up with the IDs and run errands... so for the two days in a row, he hasn't been calling me Mama but luckily we brought him out to celebrate our 3rd wedding anniversary and won back his smiles and acknowledgement!)
5. he starts to walk more steps without support steadily - 12/3/2015... by now he can already walking non-stop at the hall, inspecting the whole house and walk in the malls with shoes - 16/3/2015...
6. he fell ill - vomited 3 times and seen SBCC doctor... apparently he caught some stomach virus and bill amounted to $169 and after medicine, he has been lao sai-ing the next few days and well recovered within a week - 19/3/2015...
7. he develops fear and will consistently pats his chest whenever he feels scare... ie: when a motorbike drives past, he will pats his chest and say "scare"... bus also scare... sigh  >_<"
8. he learns to take instructions after a few times... when I called out "come to Mama and hug me..." it takes awhile for him to register then think about it before coming over to hug me...
9. he manjas his Yehyeh when he wake up in the mornings, lie down side by side with Yehyeh or sometimes saw him hugging him from behind...
10. he was 'taught' to beat the object causing him pain, so when he knocked onto the cot... he will beat the cot or knocked on the floor, he will beat the floor and cry at the same time...
11. his foot now measures 13cm - 23/3/2015...
12. he has 12 teeth...
13. he now weighs 12.3KG - 4/4/2015...
14. he can read ABC and the rest of the letters are A to him... read to him and use his fingers to draw out the letters, then he will 'switch' using my finger to write the letter instead - 11/4/2015...
15. he calls any kids older than him 'jiejie' in regardless boy or girl... so just taught him the meaning of 'korkor' - 12/4/2015...
16. he holds (our) phones and pretend to walk and talk like an adult - in full conversation; meaning, he walk around and talk, then paused like listening to the caller then continued to talk then ended the conversation with 'bai~' - 16/4/2015...
17. he's more willing to give kisses (lips to lips), with him ahhhh his big mouth and wetting our lips then shy-away after each kisses - 18/4/2015...
18. he will fuss, cries and dash over when you get near to the pram in the mornings (moving it aside so that I can get my shoes from the shoe cabinet) and he will think you want to bring him out but realised that he's not going out - 16&20/4/2015...

#day455 - It's 外婆's birthday, but somebody's got present from Daddy!

 

 

#day456 - Inspired to be the next mat rock! #ikea

 

 

#day460 - Looking grouchy; bought a gate to prevent him from coming into the kitchen and now he will go close the gate and clap happily (like feeling accomplished with a mission impossible) when we left it open...

 

 

#day462, #day463 - Wearing shoes whenever we go out... now that he will go look for his shoes to tell you he want to go out!

 

 

#day463 - Fun time splashing at the pool today!  ah Thiang go buy new swim wear to hide his BIG stomach...

 

 

#day466 - FaceTime with the Grams!  When 外婆 says "saying", he will go pat his head... when Nainai says "headache", he will also pat his head...  -__-"

 

 

#day466 - It's been awhile since we had "us-fie" for a long time...

Dawson - Home Renovations Part 1

Renovations started this week!  So efficient - ID has already instructed his workers to laid the sheets on the floorings last Wednesday after our meeting with him on Tuesday evening...  Major lightings are all delivered as well... so now waiting for the rest of the items to fall in according to the schedule...

Let me do a quick run through of what we plan to do for each area in the house!

Living hall - TV console and display shelves (supposingly to build a loft book shelf with ladder on the other side of the wall but it's our "水位" so we have to replace the area with sofa instead)... still looking out for "the right" gold frame mirror for our "财位"!

 

 

Dining area - ah Thiang sitting against my featured wall aka brick wall!

 

 

Kitchen - featured here is a tall cabinet for the ovens and cabinets for hood & hob.  Service yard is on the right side of my hood & hob!  (yes, and see that my huart-cake moulding away one corner...)

 

 

Master Bedroom - pathetic and small, only can fit a queen size bed.  Only one L-shape wardrobe is planned to be built on the right side (single panel) window... so ah Thiang has to find other place to keep his clothing and stuffs...  no major renovation for the other 2 rooms except building wardrobes...

 

 

Living hall - photo taken on last Saturday, ah Thiang was doing his last round of checks before the real renovation kicks in...

 

 

Yesterday was the electrical works - rewiring all the wires, adding of new switch/power points and sound speakers points, trunking of the aircon pipes and re-wiring of network points...
